For projects where pipelines are triggers on a manual basis, it would be helpful if a manual trigger could selected rather than selecting an arbitrary trigger that won't be used in the project.

Good feedback, we'll figure out a way to make it more obvious that you don't need to add a trigger to run the pipeline definition manually. If you create it, it'll show up in the dropdown to run. Adding a trigger is optional.
